Hosea 2:1-23
Due to Israel's unfaithfulness, God is going to leave her to her own devices. He will allow her to trust in her own beauty, be deceived by other nations, and God will allow her to wander aimlessly until she realizes that her trust has been in the wrong places. It will be then, that God reconciles Himself to His people, and allures Israel to come home to her faithful husband and true God, Yahweh.

Hosea was a prophet of God used to warn the Northern half of Israel about their sin and infidelity towards God. Hosea is a book that sternly warns Israel about their unfaithfulness, impending judgment, and the desire of God for His people's repentance. Israel's idolatry continued to lead towards immorality and the Jewish people refused to repent.
